Washed river bed ... blast!

Part of the dam on the Yellow River in central China blew up with the aim to remove the sludge from the river bed. Trying to clear the second longest river in China will last 10 days.

Explosions are strong enough to wash away the silt 800-kilometer stretch of the river. There will be a series of explosions.

5464-kilometer long river flows through nine Chinese provinces and two autonomous regions, flowing into the Bohai Sea in Shandong Province in eastern China.
