Favela: on the great slums of Rio de Janeiro
In the slums of Rio de Janeiro (over which fly even dangerous!) Held an international competition in downhill called «Desafio No Morro». Hungarian photographer Balazs Gardi, winner of many competitions of Photographers, attended the races and captured a lot of interesting things for the publication of the competition VII Network.
Downhill called downhill with a certain hill, more natural character, with the use of a bicycle, skiing, car, motorcycle etc. This name came from the English downhill - «down hill».
The slums called favelas in Brazil, and they are located in the unpopulated slopes. The most famous favelas of Rio de Janeiro, where he held a competition. In Rio slums coexist with rich private houses and expensive hotels.
