USS Yorktown, Charleston SC
This summer was able to visit the museum - an aircraft carrier (Charleston, SC). 3:00 climbed on the ship, a lot of interesting places and corners, all presented in the same form as it was in reality.
USS Yorktown
Entered into service April 15, 1943. July 24, 1943 arrived in Pearl Harbor. He participated in many battles in the Pacific theater of operations, received 11 battle stars.
December 27, 1968 provided land lander flew around the moon spacecraft "Apollo-8". Transferred to the Atlantic Ocean in 1969. June 27, 1970 decommissioned Navy. Decommissioned June 1, 1973. On November 13, 1975 opened as a floating museum in Charleston (South Carolina). Wikipedia.
