Exhibition "Merry pictures" - favorites

An exhibition of the best drawings from the popular children's magazine "Fun" was opened in the Tretyakov Gallery in Krymsky Val. The first issue of "Merry pictures" was released in September 1956. "Children's comic magazine", which is the first in Russia began to publish what we today call the comics, invented the popular illustrator and cartoonist Ivan Semyonov. To work on a children's magazine, he drew his colleagues - illustrators, artists working with "Crocodile", drew cartoons for the "Truth" and other major Soviet newspapers and magazines. On the "Fun" worked the best artists, including those who are now considered classics andegraudnogo art, such as Kabakov, Gorokhovsky Brewers. Tretyakov Gallery exhibits about three hundred of the best illustrations of the magazine.
