Hogmanay - New Year Scottish

Unlike most European countries, where the celebration of the New Year are cool and all the power given to Christmas in Scotland all the way around. For the Scots main holiday - New Year's Eve: Hogmanay. Pagan celebration since the time of the Vikings celebrated a torchlight procession and all sorts of fun with the fire, which is traditionally considered the first means to drive away evil spirits. Hogmanay is celebrated for four days. In the capital the streets of Edinburgh leaves virtually the entire population of the city. Fireworks, bonfires, fire balls, huge torches, which are the people in the military garb of the Vikings - that's what Hogmanay. One day decided to burn anything particularly large, made especially for this festival - this year it was a Viking boat.
