About Marines Caspian Flotilla

May 24 this year, 727 separate battalion of the Caspian flotilla proceeded to the teachings. On the day of tactical exercises the first company of the battalion rehearsed his actions on the offensive from the nomination of the depth of their defense to attack the enemy's front edge. The goal - "To achieve concerted action company in the transition to the attack, overcoming cost centers (mine-explosive obstacles), attack the front edge of the defense and destroy the enemy in the first trench." On all along it was given 2.5 hours. As support in exercises involved only a regimental artillery guns D-44 and artillery on self-propelled artillery 2C9 «Nona-S". The weather was hot, about 35 degrees. Strong steamed, it went to a thunderstorm. The sailors in small arms and grenade launchers boarded the BTR-70M and began to move towards the imaginary enemy.

727 separate battalion of the Caspian flotilla was formed in accordance with the directive of the General Staff of the Navy from 2000 and the organization was part of the 77 marine brigade. In December 2009, the brigade was disbanded, and the battalion was quartered and stored on the territory of 114 military camp in the city of Astrakhan.
