Cave house

Private Residence Domus Civita is located in the medieval town of Civita di Bagnoregio in Italy, which can be reached only by a footbridge. The house was built in the XIV century and is located on top of Etruscan tombs and caves and down subside amazing gardens.

The owners bought the residence in a terrible state. Preserve the pristine elements, such as the old stone fireplace, exposed beams, stone walls and terracotta floors, gave it a certain charm. Architects Studio F Design have managed to restore the building, maintaining its historical value. The most amazing part of the project is a heated swimming pool and a wine cellar, located in the largest cave. The house is decorated in a modern style that blends wonderfully with the historic shell, making it overall a very romantic and comfortable for everyday residence.
