Residents of Athens overnight burned and looted shops

On the night of 12 on February 13 in Athens have been riots. The anger of demonstrators caused the decision of the Government to adopt stringent credit agreement proposed by the EU in Greece. Protesters beat windows, set fire to and looted shops in the city center, according to Athens News.

According to the police, resulting in mass protests hit 150 stores, 48 ​​of which were burned. Injured about 100 people, including 68 police officers. For participation in the riots were arrested 130 people.
