Pet

Before you represented one of the largest beetles in the world - Hercules beetle. Its unusual name was due to the well-known ancient Greek hero Heracles (in Latin. Herculēs), which is famous for its incredible power. The same can be said about the Hercules beetle.
They - "lifters" and able to carry heavy loads, 850 times their own weight. The length of the body can be 15-18 cm. Not a few. Females slightly smaller than males and can reach a length of not more than 8 cm. And they do not have horns. Males reach a wingspan of 22 cm.
These beetles is home to tropical forests of Central and South America, and the Caribbean islands. They feed over-mature fruit. Most of the time on the ground, though, thanks to the sharp claws on long legs, are excellent climbers.
