In late June, a few countries have passed the national stage of the competition among the lumberjacks -Stihl Timbersports Series. Suggest you look at the work of these men during the Swiss stage of the championship, hit us with their emotionality.

Beginning of the competitions began in Canada, the US and New Zealand, where local loggers were going to determine the best in the profession.

Officially Stihl Timbersports Series held since 1985, the first time they have been in the United States.



Europe joined the competition in 2005.



Now the contest loggers are highly prestigious sporting event, broadcast television networks and several have their viewers and fans around the world.



Currently loggers compete in six different disciplines, including the work of a chainsaw and ax.



There are also two leagues - professional and student, the winners of which will automatically fall into the professional league.



In loggers there are also world records. For example, in the discipline «Hot Saw», where it is necessary to cut off a 3 speed bar a certain thickness, using a specially tuned super-powerful saw, record belongs to American Matt Bush, who did it in 2003 for 5 seconds. Log diameter is slightly more than 48 centimeters.



Their national championships conducted the US, Canada, New Zealand, Germany, Switzerland and other countries.
