Investigating authorities pardoned former Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov. On March 6 the agency "Interfax" referring to an anonymous source familiar with the situation.

According to the source, the decision on amnesty in connection with the 20th anniversary of the Russian Constitution was adopted on 21 February. Meanwhile, the information that Serdyukov asked for amnesty, hit the media only on 25 February. Officially, this message is not confirmed.

The lawyer of former Minister Henry Padva told "Lentoy.ru" refused to confirm or deny the message of amnesty. In the main military investigation department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian news agency ITAR-TASS also they refused to comment.





Serdyukov became a defendant in proceedings instituted under the Criminal Code "negligence" in December 2013. According to investigators, the Minister made the construction of the road for the budget bill to a particular object - camp "Rye". This hostel belonged to my husband's sister, Valery Serdyukov Puzikova. In September 2013 Puzikov donated "Rye" in the ownership of the Ministry of Defense.

Puzikov himself in January 2014 and became involved in the case: he is suspected of abuse of 12 million rubles. In February, the suspect declared wanted. March 5 became known that he voluntarily came to the UK and was released on bail.

Serdyukov was dismissed from the post of minister in the autumn of 2012, when the investigating authorities have begun to bring a large number of cases of corruption in the military. The largest was a case of theft of several billion rubles through holding "Oboronservis." The main business is a supernumerary former official in the Defense Ministry Evgenia Vasilyeva, called approximate Serdyukov. She is under house arrest.
