Salt fields of India

India - the third producer of salt in the world after the US and China. Principal place of its production is the Great Rann of Kutch, a seasonally marshy salt desert in the district of Kutch in Gujarat. Salt fish starts here with pumping water at the end of the monsoon season (October). This process lasts until the end of March, after which the salt crystals were collected and dried until June. Then you need another eight months to make them edible salt.
