Ultra-thin tourbillon
Clock Manufactory Arnold & Son announced the creation of the thinnest tourbillon watch: the new A & S8200 has a thickness of 2, 97 millimeters. It is almost half a millimeter smaller than Piaget Caliber 600P, which has now become the second thickness. Limited model UTTE Tourbillon (Ultra Thin Tourbillon Escapement) from the British brand was presented at the last hour the exhibition in Basel, Switzerland. The round case with a diameter of 42 mm and a thickness of 8, 34 mm is made of 18-carat pink gold (price about $ 70,000) or palladium ($ 60,000). All house plans to release only 50 copies of each version of the clock. The dial is silver-white or light gray in color with the "Geneva waves» (Côtes de Genève). Front and rear Arnold & Son 8200 sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The carriage flying tourbillon stands out for its disproportionately large size of 14 mm in diameter, though the whole mechanism - 32 mm.
