Roy Miller (Matt Damon), the commander of special forces and CIA officers consultant helping Gordon Brown (Brendan Gleeson), in search of weapons of mass destruction in the "Green Zone" (the Americans occupied the central part of Baghdad, in Iraq). But after one of the operations is a direct clash of special services of the CIA and the Pentagon's military intelligence caught the head of the underground. Gordon Brown, Roy Miller entrusts the task to find out what mission the Pentagon spends in Iraq and what is behind their leader Clark Poundstounom (Greg Kinnear). Mission revelations turns into a deadly confrontation Roy Miller and Clark Poundstouna. Agent Poundstoun ordered his men not to take Miller's alive, that is, to destroy. And military machine starts to not work against terrorists and against its American soldier.
