On Mars discovered rivers

Lava flows are carving a path very similar to the rivers, washed with water. That this assumption is confirmed by at least one of the meandering channels on the surface of Mars. The theory was put forward in the 41st conference LPSC (Lunar and Planetary Science Conference) scientist Jacob Blicherom.

Studying the image of the surface of Mars, scientists have paid attention to the fact that it contains traces of soil erosion, which look just like formed under the influence of water on the earth's surface. Well-formed channel walls, small islands, and blind intertwined sleeves, which are at odds, and then merge into the main streams - all this confirms the theory of scientists.

However, after lengthy debate, the researchers concluded that "it is molten lava can form these channels. So we should not draw hasty conclusions, and opinions about the rivers of water. " Evidence that such channels can be created by lava flows, obtained by studying detailed images of Mare Imbrium (a dark spot on the moon, which is actually a large crater filled with petrified lava flows).
