Rural life in Japan through the eyes of Linda Butler (Linda Butler)

An American working as an independent documentary photographer for almost thirty years. The main object of her attention was and still is the culture of East Asia. Today, we go to a little-known part of the country of the rising sun.

Linda Butler (Linda Butler) was born in 1947 in the small American town of Appleton, Wisconsin. At first, she graduated from Antioch College and then received his doctorate at the University of Michigan. After graduation, she married Steven Nissen and managed to stay in Michigan Ann Arbor, Sacramento, California, Kentucky and Lexington. At the moment, the couple live in a suburb of Cleveland. Each project Linda takes more than one year. For example, a job in Japan, it took almost three years.
