Emmaus-Kirche Church is sent on a voyage (8 photos)

Parishioners Emmaus (Emmaus-Kirche), built 750 years ago and located in the German village Hoyersdorf (Heuersdorf), will now have to find another place for prayer.

Building weighing 660 tons will be completely transported on a special platform in the nearby town of Bourne (Borna), which is located 12 km from the previous location. This decision was made in connection with a coal mine, which is located under the church. Estimated date of the final move - October 31st. Transportation cost will be about 3 million euros.
