Volkswagen and Sanyo facilitate machine 200-300 kilograms

The brand Volkswagen and Sanyo Electric, a division of the Japanese company Sanyo, will work together to build lithium-ion batteries for hybrid and electric vehicles. Development plan to present in 2012.

Lithium-ion batteries are smaller and lighter than those used in vehicles today. According to experts, it will reduce the weight of the vehicle, an average of 200-300 kg, and make themselves more environmentally friendly cars.

Selecting a partner like Sanyo, - is not accidental. The Japanese manufacturer is a market leader in lithium-ion batteries used in mobile phones and computers, and plans to invest in the improvement of more than 970 million dollars in the next three years.
