Striped apartments in Slovenia Bashny.Net

This house was built in the center of the town of Nova Gorica, Slovenia. Architectural bureau OFIS arhitekti decided to create a facade of a building in such a "striped" not only for decorative purposes. The city is known in Slovenia as the hottest summer and one of the frosty winter. Strip facade create additional space for tenants, as well as protect them from extremely high or low temperatures outside. By the way, the design of the windows, balconies, loggias and cornices that create those same bands, also developed with the intention to increase natural light rooms to tenants spend less electricity.
