And the smallest planet in the Solar System - 4 880 km. in diameter.
Temperature there from -183 C to Dumb polar craters to 427 C in the sun.
It has been a couple of ekspeditsitsy, but only 45% have photographed the planet.
August 3, 2004, NASA sent a new mission MESSENGER (MErcury Surface, Space ENvironment, GEochemistry and Ranging probe), in March 2011, it should reach the goal.
