Exhibition of vintage cars

The exhibition «Allure of the Automobile» («The temptation of cars") opened on March 21. It presents 18 cars, which was a breakthrough in its time - and they are radical concepts at the time, or continue to influence the creation of design of cars for many years. "This exhibition presents the greatest automobiles from 1930 to 1965", - said the director of the museum, which hosted the exhibition, Michael E. Shapiro. The exhibition will be held until 20 June.






Packard Twelve Runabout Speedster 1934 release. Total was created only four cars of this brand, and Clark Gable changed its copy. The car was collected in Detroit. The car has a V-shaped windshield, elegant doors and mud guards in the European style. (Peter Harholdt)



Bugatti Type 57S Atalante Coupe 1937 release. Bugatti experimented with aerodynamics - an important element of modern car design, as well as with light metals. Porsche Type 64 Coupe 1938/39 model year. The only pre-war Porsche - Type 64 Coupe - was set up for the race Berlin-Rome, which had to be postponed because of the outbreak of the Second World War. Dubonnet Hispano-Suiza H-6C Xenia 1937 release. European world vanished in a rage of World War II.
