Berlin will host a festival of sand sculptures "Sandsation 2010" Bashny.Net

June 10 in Berlin, the official opening of the festival of sand sculptures. More than 20 sculptors from around the world will compete for the grand prize and national recognition and love on the 8th international competition.

The theme of this year's festival is called "head in the sand." The festival organizers have also made free workshops for emerging artists.

This year's festival will be held at the concert and exhibition center, O2 World, in the district of Friedrichshain. Throughout the festival will be held a variety of recreational activities: contests for children, raffles, free workshops for working with sand. At the festival visitors will run cafes and sun loungers to relax. Every year it is visited by about 120 thousand spectators.
