Belarusian opposition protests in Minsk (20 photos)

Belarusian opposition in protest against the results of the presidential elections of December 19, thousands of people gathered
on October Square in downtown Minsk. From there, the crowd moved to the Independence Square,
where made several attempts to storm the government building. Protesters smashed windows and glass doors
building and entered into a confrontation with the police arrived at the scene. Riot police managed to clear the area from the opposition.
Detained, according to one estimate, up to 500 people, among which there are five presidential candidates.
