Led lighting from James Turrell: pushing the boundaries of time and space

        




The designer James Turrell can be called a man who of its exquisite design of one of the buildings of the rice University managed to bend space and suspend time. This is made possible by led lighting, which is used for sunshade, an area of 72 square meters.





James Turrell for the realization of this construction project worked together with the contractor Linbeck. For the construction of the building was used only natural materials – concrete, grass, stone and composite panels. Led panels located on the roof in accordance with the solar calendar. This allows in the summer to carry out a unique light and musical show, which always starts suddenly and never repeat each other.





The pyramidal structure of the building has two levels. The building accommodates 120 people. The purpose of the building – conduct acoustic and musical performances of students from rice University.

The building is one of 73 projects of James Turrell, who gives to all those who see it inspired and calm. Despite the fact everything is so well thought out that no other art projects it is impossible. All you can do is to come here specially in order to relax from the outside world.
