"Cemetery of cranes" Bashny.Net

Cemetery of cranes located in the industrial area near the metro station Vydubychi. Getting there is quite difficult, you need to go through the narrow rails on two sides which open. Cemetery of cranes, this is the place where dumped its antiquated construction cranes.


The place is very interesting, you can climb all sorts of cool stuff and make the beautiful industrial photos. In foggy weather the area is very reminiscent of the landscape of the Soviet film "Stalker" by the Strugatsky Brothers. This place is not part of the official walking routes to Kiev, but to come back here is for stalkerskie impressions.


This unusual attraction is located in the industrial area of the city, to come here from the nearest subway station will have about an hour, but the experience is worth it. The fact that in this area since the early 70-ies of the last century from all over Ukraine were brought — tower cranes.


Some of them are stacked in piles, others lined up — a huge, old, rusty. However, if you look at them in Sunny weather, you can see that many of the cranes are very nice looking, however, to restore them no one is going: the fate of the cranes to live out their lives in a landfill.


They say the cranes can even climb, but the territory is under protection, and the success of the enterprise depends on whether you will be able to negotiate with vigilant security.
