Cambodian delicacy

The small market town of Skuon, 60 kilometers South-West of Phnom Penh, known almost all over Cambodia. Many people come here for the local delicacy in Khmer called "a ping". By the way, here it is valued about as in the West, black caviar. Generally "a-ping" — a kind of poisonous tarantulas. In living form they are found in abundance in the jungle near Skuon. Most of the population of Skuon earns his living by catching spiders, their preparation and sale.


Successful traders "and ping" sell 100-200 pieces a day, which gives Cambodian concepts very good income.
