Recycling plastic bottles: sculpture Devebere



At the Venice Biennale of architecture, was presented a sculpture constructed from thousands of recycled bottles. This art installation created by Rodrigo Garcia and Maciej Siuda, called Devebere. It is designed to draw attention to the problem of huge amounts of waste, which creates humanity.



Garcia and Siuda first showed his sculpture in one of the student competitions, where he received the prize for "Mature" architecture. The idea of designers is to on the one hand to draw public attention to such a serious problem as the recycling of plastic waste, and with another – to create in the city a comfortable environment, a place for relaxation and rest during the Biennale in the city.





Sculpting has been used peeled from the labels plastic bottle, from which to make the construction more strength pumped the air. Then the bottles are Packed in polyethylene, forming the likeness of the bridges.
