i-Tree: a program that assesses the economic value of trees

The role of trees in improving the green infrastructure of our towns and cities is huge, both from the point of view of the sequestration, and from the point of view of aesthetics, but on their economical value is often overlooked, underestimated or perceived as a hindrance.

Tools i-Tree is designed to change people's attitudes to trees. It is available to every computer music program, developed by the American Service of forest protection (Fоrest Sеrvice), which provides analysis, calculation of benefit and the measurement of the contribution of trees to improve urban development, will help society to understand the economic benefit from the protection of our urban forest parks.

"Benefits of trees should be expressed in the material ratio. Because if we don't value trees, then they are worth nothing," said Tim Rollinson, Director General of the Commission of forestry.
