Giant mirrors will illuminate instead of the Sun one of the Norwegian cities

You can imagine that You live in a city where the Sun is not visible for most of the year. But this is not the scenario of a fantastic film about a post-apocalyptic future. This situation is a harsh reality for the inhabitants of many cities, in particular the town of Rjukan (Rjukan). This Norwegian city is located in the valley in which the mountain chains block the Sun and sunlight for five months, starting in September. Today, technology can bring literally "ray of hope" to the residents of Rjukan. Three huge mirrors with a total area of 50 square meters, will be installed on top of the nearby mountain and thus can reflect the sunlight and illuminate the city in the valley.

Naturally, capabilities of all three mirrors with a total value of 850 thousand dollars, not enough to illuminate the whole territory of the city. Instead, the rays of reflected sunlight focused on the Central part of the city, which covers an area of about 200 meters, there local residents can come at any time of the bottom in order to "bathe" in the Sun.
Drives, rotating mirrors and adjusting their tilt angles will be controlled by computer, it will also monitor the movement and position of the Sun, which will guarantee supply to the city Rjukan optimal amount of sunlight.
