Scientists reported: sedentary lifestyle — a direct path to disease

Today, most of us main working time spend sitting down. This lifestyle is only hurting our health, say us scientists. They learned that the more time a person spends sitting, the worse his or her health and quality of life in General. Sitting can lead to problems with the spine, slowing down metabolism.





The result — obesity, diabetes, heart disease. Another experience ( called the 45 and Up) was conducted in Australia by Sara and Richard Rosenkranz. It captured almost 268,000 people at the age of 45 years (the final result was published on the basis of responses 194 545 people). The experts conducted an extensive survey to ascertain the level of physical activity of respondents, the time in hours that every day they spend sitting down, and their health status. The latter figure meets assessed on a 5-point scale. Also take into consideration the age, status, lifestyle, body mass index and other factors.

The results were disappointing. It turned out that the level of physical activity directly affects health and quality of life. And the more people sat during the day, the worse was his health. Sitting little — approximately four hours a day showed the best results (13%) on health, quality of life, compared with those who sat for 8 hours or more.
