Iranian streetart in the streets of Tehran

 

Iranian artist and designer Mehdi Gadiano, with the support of the municipality, gradually adorns the city of Tehran, capital of Iran. 33-year-old street artist decorated with his murals in Tehran for the last 5 years, during which he painted over one hundred walls.





Like most growing cities, Tehran is an architectural confusion with buildings. Often, they have only one facade, and from the other side of the house is grey and inconspicuous.





It does not decorate the city, but creates a great working environment for the arts. Approximately 8 years ago, the municipality established a Committee to help promote the art of street art in Tehran. Now artists such as Mehdi Gadiano, funded by the state. Artists compete with each other, decorating the facades of huge grey buildings beautiful works of art.
