Highway Tarim Desert Highway is the longest highway that runs through the Chinese Taklamakan desert.
Its length is 552 km. To protect the highway from the sand (and the height of the dunes are up to 20 meters),
on both sides of the road planted vegetation and create a huge irrigation system.
