It seems that in the near future river walk along the Seine river and the small canals of Paris can be done on catamarans, equipped with solar panels. Testing the first such vessel holds one of the local passenger shipping companies Paris-Canal.





The company noted that the new catamaran Felix de Azara — the only such ship in Paris, operating solely on green energy.





The square panels on the roof of the vessel is 50 sq. m. compared to a conventional vessel, the use of innovative sources of energy allows the catamaran every day to save up to 200 litres of gas oil. In addition, this allows you to limit carbon dioxide emissions. Passengers pay attention to the quiet operation of the vessel.

"Paris-Canal" will conduct test trials of the catamaran before the end of summer on the weekends in the basin of the Villette and the Seine.published
