The invasion of moth in the Altai

Altai again encountered insect attack: this time the foothills of the attacked butterfly Gypsy moth. Users of social networks share photos of insects that infest the region.





Scientists explain the invasion of the silkworm drought and warm winter, which had survived last year's offspring. Man, this insect does not bring harm, but destroys conifers. In the absence of larch larvae spread to the gardens and moved on to fruit trees.

Altay is not the only region suffering from the invasion of the silkworm. A similar situation is observed in Primorye, Tyumen, Omsk, Tyumen, Kurgan areas and Khabarovsk territory.
