"Crying for joy" is actually impossible

Most psychologists believe that in fact we do not cry with happiness - it's all a myth. Such phenomena as the "tears of happiness" does not exist. In fact, we cry because bad feelings have disappeared. Men and women can suppress the urge to cry. Emotionally experiencing when watching a sentimental movie, we can hold back the tears until his climax. After that comes, so to speak, the culmination of our own - we begin to cry. Releases energy previously used to contain the tears. Thus, the tears are an expression of emotional release, combined with feelings of anxiety, fear, sadness, relief and so on.

But we cry, "happiness" is not only for watching movies. We release emotions in the form of tears when we meet loved ones after a long separation, when a loved one is recovering after a difficult operation, when someone was unharmed after a car accident and other emergency situations. Reasons for emotional relief can invent indefinitely. And the tears we will never run out.
