In the Chinese province of Shandong on Thursday, June 30 opened a bridge across the Jiaozhou Bay. New bridge length of 42, 4 km, calculated for eight car lanes, became the longest sea bridge in the world.





The bridge connects the mainland Chinese port city of Qingdao to Huangdao Island area. Its cost was 14, 8 billion yuan (about 2, $ 3 billion).
