In a study published in the journal Infant Behavior & Development, found that the phrase "You must have been a beautiful child in a child" does not correspond to reality. When the 253 college students were asked to rate photos of the same people in infancy and as adults, it was found that there is no relationship between how attractive the person was a child and as an adult.
