Tudor was in debt, but that did not stop him. He found that in the sawdust ice lasts longer than in the straw, and bought a special blade to cut the ice allows more smoothly, which also increases the shelf life. He built throughout the tropics to the ice cellar, and in 1833 was finally able to drop off their goods to Calcutta, which became for him one of the largest markets, because by the time the ice in hot regions became popular. However, not for long: in 1834, Jacob Perkins invented the freezer and the market itself disappeared. But fortune in trade ice Tudor still have time.
