Adam Rainer was born in the Austrian city of Graz in 1899. His parents were quite normal growth - 172 cm and 165 cm father's mother. He had a brother, even as tall as their common father. But Adam was very special.

Loss of vision was associated with compression of the optic nerves, which appeared due to a tumor.

In 1930, doctors removed a tumor, but Adam still continued to grow, albeit slowly. The spine is curved in this more and more, and so it went on for the last 19 years of his life. During this period, its growth has increased to 234 cm. Adam Rainer died in 1950 at the age of 51 years.
