Tattoos on animals - a new trend or just another madness?

Recently, the network appears more and more photos of dogs, cats and other domestic fowl, which hosts stuffed tattoo. Probably, the owners themselves on the body does not remain a single living space for tattoos, in connection with which they turned their attention to domestic animals. 
But activists also are on the alert. It caused a storm of emotions swept relevant organizations to encourage the authorities of New York to ban such activities from 1 June 2014. This is quite a reasonable decision at least because:
