Some time ago, Google announced a temporary suspension of the project Google Glass. Then we say that companies need to think about what will be the second generation of smart points, taking into account the mistakes and shortcomings of the first generation.
However, after the announcement, many have decided that the project is not closed at the time, but forever. Apparently, this is still not the case - in the company собираются further work on the project . That's just the head of the project is now Tony Fadell, and the new boss is going to start a project from scratch.
Perhaps just Tony will succeed - because he had previously worked at Apple, Fadell is called the "father of iPod», and then he left to create a new company that was developing a smart thermostat Nest. In general, there Fadell and abilities, and a great experience - maybe it's the type of person who needs a Google Glass, to breathe new life into the project.
Tony himself has stated that he wants to start from scratch. Perhaps a previous version of Google Glass will have to forget, and indeed, begin to develop from scratch, given all the weaknesses of the previous generation of smart glasses (and they are many). However, expect to see the second generation of points in a few months would be a mistake - more likely to create a new version will take many months, if not years. On the other hand, if the project is tightened in time, Google Glass just can say goodbye - too many competitors there, and quite decent.
Now Google has problems not only c Google Glass: something similar happens with the social network Google+, which will also redesign, rethink the concept. So Google's on the horizon two problems to be solved.
