"Smart" motorcycle helmet has received a grant of 14, 7 million rubles from the Ministry of Education

Russian startup Livemap, develops motorcycle helmet augmented reality navigation, received a grant from the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and готовится in the summer of next year to start selling the device in the United States.





Livemap working on developing motorcycle helmets with voice control and navigation, which is displayed next to the driver's vision, to get rid of the need to stick to fixed on the steering wheel or smartphone browser. In this case, no warning should not distract from the road or in any way interfere with the user.

According to the project founder Andrew Artishchev, last year the team has been developing and prototyping optics for predproizvodstvom Livemap. Optics will have a built-aspherical lens. An important aim of the development was to reduce the cost of optics.



The project will receive from the Ministry of Science and Education of Russia 14, 7 million rubles for three years.



Livemap spring will show the world the prototype, and in the summer will start selling - but so far only in the US market.
