Six-story Lucy the Elephant

This is not a live elephant, but rather elephantine structure, consisting of six floors. Lucy can be found in the small town of Margate, New Jersey, USA. It is situated on the territory of a local park.
By the way, the park is called «Josephine Harron Park», and she elephant is placed local beach. Lucy the Elephant can be considered as the largest building in the shape of an elephant in the world and the only one in the United States. It was built on the idea of James Lafferty back in 1881 year. At the time, here is equipped with: hotel, restaurant, cottage, and even offices. All this whirlwind lasted until organized here tavern nearly burned drunk. Since then, Lucy and became a local landmark and a place of visit of tourists. At one time, the creation of the elephant, it took more than 200 barrels of nails, screws and 4 tons of iron rods. The total weight was 90 tons of elephant.
