Here is what the artist herself: "I use vague memories from his own childhood, when I was spending the summer, plunging into the cool lake of northern Minnesota. I'm trying to recreate the quiet serenity of water and nature; days spent for swimming and diving. These paintings have become a link between my home, constant search for the feeling of the sun on my face and warm summer days on the lake. They are my salvation, a brief respite from day to day ».
