Design of the facility began in 1951. To combat duty to provide telephone and telegraph communication of the country at the facility on a daily basis were more than 2,500 people.
In the 60s GSB "Tagansky" it was fully equipped with everything you need in the event of a nuclear attack. Stocks of food, drinking water, air regeneration system could provide life about five thousand people for several months.
At the end of the 80 nuclear tensions gradually began to weaken and GSB "Tagansky" lost its key importance in ensuring the country's defense.
