Cleaning work in Dalian

Oil spill after pipeline blast in the port city of Dalian on July 16 is eliminated by a small group of fishermen, local residents and government employees. Involved about 250 oil cleaning ships and 8,000 fishing boats, most of the work is done by hand. The size of the oil slick has reached 430 square meters. km, but its spread was stopped before the oil came into international waters. The explosion occurred due to improper injection desulfurizer into the pipes. As long as workers continue cleaning works, and activists of the "Greenpeace" accused the company «Dalian Port» in an inadequate response to its actions, the company has already started operations at two of its terminals. Management has assumed the interim administration.
