New life of abandoned buildings

Abandoned buildings in Russia, and indeed the world - a phenomenon almost everywhere. Sometimes, however, there are still people who are willing to turn everything upside down and breathe into these buildings new life. Here are some rather curious example of transformation of abandoned buildings.

This is a huge indoor water park, created in the aviation hangar, built before World War II. Atocha - this is the first railway station in Madrid, opened in February 1851. Many remember Atocha since the horrific terrorist attack in 2004. But now it resembles only a monument and visitors amazes people the beauty of tropical nature, magnificently raging inside the building. The architect Rafael Moneo created directly at the train station a wonderful botanical garden. Parking in the theater

The irony is that the theater was built on the site of the first departments of the factory of Henry Ford. Opened in 1926 the cinema was the largest in the state. The building served as a traditional theater, cinema and concert hall, received and held 4,000 spectators, but gradually it became unprofitable. Creators of Value Farm plan to transfer the experience of this unusual farm on the scale of the whole of China, which should positively affect the growth of food security in the world's most populous country.



Winery of the old boats



The new winery on the shores of the Pacific Ocean in California, not just built of bricks, but of the old fishing boats, which have recently sailed in coastal waters. The design of this unusual complex developed Mexican architect Claudia Turrent and Alejandro d'Acosta. It involves the creation of a complex of buildings of a small winery, as materials which uses garbage thrown on the Ocean Beach California peninsula in Mexico in the place where the company is built. This plant, according to the authors of the project is to conceptually combine the wine-making and fishing - two traditional occupation of the inhabitants of Baja California, which for centuries kept the economy of this state.
