"Apollo 11" (Eng. Apollo 11) - manned spacecraft Apollo series that first brought the people on the surface of another celestial body - the moon.
Armstrong went on the moon July 21, 1969 at the 02 hours 56 minutes 20 seconds GMT. Going down on the moon, he said the following sentence:
That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.
Aldrin soon came to the surface of the moon after about fifteen minutes after Armstrong.
Mission duration was 8 days, time spent on the surface of the ship Luny- less than one day, spacewalk on the Moon lasted only a few minutes - but the hours and minutes become truly historic. During the flight were carried out some scientific experiments, collected samples for research and photographed to document the entire flight.
