Scientists have discovered what is in the Chelyabinsk meteorite

For the resulting fragments scientists study the composition and history of the origin of the meteorite.
Scientists have analyzed the composition of the meteorite that fell in the Chelyabinsk February 15, 2013. It is dominated by silicates - olivine and orthopyroxene.
The study conducted by specialists from the Institute of Geology and Mineralogy, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Central Siberian Geological Museum.
In a meteorite found as iron and nickel sulfides and native metals - Nickeliferous meteoritic iron (kamacite and taenite). Also recorded that in the meteorite have chromite, clinopyroxene, plagioclase and glass feldspar composition.
Studying the meteorite continue. Scientists report that these data are important for the reconstruction of the early stages of development of the solar system. It is believed that meteorites are made of the same substance from which formed the planets.
