In China, the dog became stepmother to the Amur tiger abandoned by her mother.





Cubs were born at the zoo in Hangzhou on November 10th. When the mother refused to feed babies, park staff brought from the nearby village of nursing dog named Xiao Wang, who recently acquired a litter of three puppies.



Now Xiao Wang feeds and their puppies, and tigers, but soon they are likely to pick up a new nurse.

This is not the first time that the zoo in Hangzhou "hires" dog for feeding the tigers. In 2010 thus managed to save the life of Tiger Cub named Lucky. In addition, such cases occur without human intervention. In 2005, a dog named Mademoiselle Giselle nursed newborn squirrel in Seattle. In 2008, Isabella the golden retriever took three Bengal tiger on a ranch in the United States, although small predators were placed separately for security reasons.
